Hello everyone! So, this is a series that I read in the span of three days – one day for each book. I literally couldn’t put a single book down, it is so brilliant.
After finishing the third book, Cress, I thought that I might as well do a review on the whole thing. (Like I did with Soul Screamers if you can remember that…)
So, without further ado, here goes!
Cinder

Book #1 – Cinder
One question – why haven’t I read this book before? I mean, it is amazing. The idea is so completely original, that I’m not even sure where to begin. First off, Cinder – she’s so incredibly badass. She’s cool, she makes me wish that I was a cyborg. And she’s funny, and quirky, and just plain awesome. Prince Kai was a little so so, in my opinion – he’s too nice. And I used to really like that, but now I’m more into the hopeless bad-boy (that we all secretly love). And don’t even get me started on the plot! It’s so unique, but at the same time it keeps relating back to the original Cinderella, which made it a really fun read. Cinderella was my childhood! Anyway, great first installment, and I can’t wait for the next one.
Book #2 – Scarlet
How do these books just get better and better? It doesn’t seem statistically possible – because sequels are supposed to suck – but it is better. Meyer must have some of that J.K. Rowling magic up her sleeve, or something. So, new characters are introduced: Scarlet, Wolf and Thorne (plus miscellaneous baddies). Scarlet and Wolf come from, you guessed it, Little Red Riding Hood! And argh – I don’t want to really say anything to spoil it, but I love them. I love them so much. This just gets better and better the more I read, and I am aching for the next one.
Book #3 – Cress
Oh. My. God. What are you doing to me, Meyer? Are you trying to ruin my life? I don’t know if my brain is going to melt in my own head from a cuteness overload, or if I am just going spontaneously combust from all of the feels. Another new character is introduced in this book, Cress, and this time Meyer is drawing comparisons to Rapunzel. It’s just delicious to read. This series, as a whole, is so adorable, but still something that older teenagers (17…) can enjoy. A great YA fiction.
Book #4 – Winter
What do you mean it hasn’t come out yet? Wait! 2015! It comes out in 2015! Great, this has officially ruined my year. Now I have to pin for a year. God, this is TID all over again… I’m done. I am officially done.
